Hunter green or Bottle green?
Greyer and yellower than bottle green.
Said to be named for the green hunters wore in the 1800s to blend into the woods.
Culture
Hunter green is the deep woodland green of traditional hunting clothes, meant to melt into the trees. Today most US states require hunters to wear blaze orange instead, so that other hunters can see them.
Kin
- Orange: Hunters now wear blaze orange instead, to be seen by other hunters
- Forest green: Another green named for life in the woods
