Peach or Apricot?
Paler and softer than apricot.
Language
Peach means Persian. The Romans called it malum persicum, Persian apple, and the word wore down to peach. But the fruit comes from China, where people in the Yangtze valley were already selecting peaches by about 6000 BCE.
